Eighteen blends, for a mood or a moment.

Most people arrive with an occasion in mind rather than an oil — the hour before bed, a treatment room, a child’s bedroom, a house that needs to feel awake. Each of these was formulated for one.

Which one, for what

  • To wind down, or to sleep. Sanctuary, Sweet Dreams, Serenity, Tranquility — lavender, sandalwood and vetiver, in four different proportions. Sanctuary →
  • A child’s bedroom, a family house. Calm Kids — lime, lavender and frankincense, chosen soft. And My House, for a room with people in it. Calm Kids →
  • A blocked nose, a winter room. Ezi-Breathe, the one product in our range on the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods (AUST L 58585), and Tea Tree / Lavender Organic beside it. Ezi-Breathe →
  • A desk, a study, a house that needs to feel awake. Mind Power, Vitality, Inspiration, Australian Bush Scents — peppermint, rosemary and the citrus oils. Mind Power →
  • A treatment room, or sitting quietly. Heart & Soul, Rejuvenate, Bliss — frankincense, cedarwood and sandalwood carrying the citrus. Heart & Soul →
  • Something to wear, or to give. Spirit of Woman, Goddess, Love — the florals, and the three blends with rose in them. Spirit of Woman →

Look at what’s in it

Sweet Dreams is East Indian sandalwood, Roman chamomile, marjoram, lavender and rose geranium — sandalwood holding the base, chamomile and marjoram for the quiet, lavender and rose geranium above them. Every one of the eighteen is named oil by oil on its own page, with the part each one plays.

The oils a blend is chosen for are the ones a cheap blend keeps only as a trace. Ours are in the formulation in quantity, and the label lists them. How to read a blend’s ingredient list →

How to use them

Follow the instructions on each blend’s label for diffuser use. For a bath, use only an oil suitable for that purpose with a formulated bath dispersant, following the product instructions. Diffuser basics →

Where they come from

Eighteen formulations, accumulated one at a time since 1989, and once one settled it was left alone — Sanctuary has been the same five oils in the same proportions for decades, so the bottle you buy next year is the one you bought this year. How our blends were made →
